4 bit Colours

Got a pc from a client today.

Did a spyware check on it 1174 infections !! Removed all them.

She also has a problem where shes done a defrag and now the screen is in 600x480 mode with 4 bit colour and wont let you change it.

You can change it in safe mode but not in vga mode.

Can't roll back driver and there is no system restore point.

Any other ideas greatfully recieved.

Reinstall sounds the best.

+1 p858snake: complete re-install. Even if you manage to fix it, with that amount of problems going on it'd probably never be 100% without starting afresh anyway.
