alonebfg Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I have been told about a buyback scheme where after 5 years stone will buy back for 5% of original value also the is a data scrubber built into all there pcs now has anyone took advantage of ether of these if so is it any good. (trying to get best value and as all prices are about the same looking at the added value.) I have put it in green due to the fact they pay you to recycle if they buy back. 1
maniac Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Ahhh that would explain why there's a garunteed value after 5 years on all my Stone computers quotes now!
alonebfg Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 I have been told it is on all there equipment servers screens laptops etc i don't know how true that is but have been told its 5% so if i bought £1000 worth of equipment I get £50 for recycling and they take it away. that's good lol they pay me to recycle
placky Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Damm! Just got rid of (dont panic they were recycled) a van full of stone computers and got nothing for them. Nevermind ..... Every little helps .... Gareth Plack
MattDLEA Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 We use Stone and they are very good, didnt know about there buy back though. Something to look in to
glennda Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 I have been told it is on all there equipment servers screens laptops etc i don't know how true that is but have been told its 5% so if i bought £1000 worth of equipment I get £50 for recycling and they take it away. that's good lol they pay me to recycle Thats means in 5 years they will be giving me the nice sum of 3500! im guessing it doesnt apply to machines we purchased last year? as that would be near 5k!
PeteHopton Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Some Interesting Marketing by Stone, although I've seen people get far more that 5% off a Stone quote just by telling them "we're going with someone else."
RTFM Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I'd heavily haggle them down and still want the guaranteed 5%
