Hi All,

I dont how many of you use WDS but I am having huge difficulty setting it up. I have installed Server 2008 R2, done all the lastest windows updates, and it still fails to install.

The server is a dell R710 with 4 Broadcom nics, I have 2 partitions, 1 for the system and one for the images. DHCP and DNS are running on the server. It is also a domain controller. I have followed steps and install WAIK.

Once I have select WDS, it installs all ok. I then go to configure the server and it responds saying that the service failed to respond in an untimely fashion??......

I have installed it ok on a older server and on a virtual the same way, this is now starting to cause me issues :bowl:  :(. Any help is much appreciated!

I have DHCP enabled on the server. I have tried unticking and ticking the box regarding those ports when trying to set up the server and no difference is made. With regards to the other 2 port types, there is nothing I am aware.

I had something like this, if IIRC I had to remove the service pack, re-apply WDS, then add the windows service pack after the WDS install.
