I have 1 exchange server that isnt running too well at the moment so I was wondering can I bring another exchange box up with the same settings and migrate everything over? or a way to cluster exchange then shut the old one down?

Yes you could install another exchange server onto the domain then migrate the mailboxes off and the roles assuming that you install them. Not sure about the clustering aspect though as I have not done that personally.

So I can keep my domain etc.. ie [email protected] ? or do I have to chnage settings in new exchange?

i have only done this with 2003 but

you can keep you domain name Its actually quite easy to move the mailboxes once the new server is configured. you can even do it during the day while the users are using it. all it asks is that the user restarts outlook afterwards.

this might help
