There's a lot of useless space to the left and right of the Install consumable Consumable stock columns. Hi. Yes, you can change the code in one file to adjust these to suit your needs. Open index.php, and look near the bottom (lines 72-78). You will see references to grid_5 suffix_1 and grid_6. These classes determine the width on the page that each one takes up. It's based on a grid system, with 12 imaginary columns to work from in total. So if you used grid_6 classes on both columns, each would take up half of the width of the container. Or you could have a grid_5 for the consumables and a grid_7 for the stock. As long as the grid_X numbers add up to 12, you should be fine.

(and I think it has been mentioned before) the ability to track more than just toners; i.e. Drum / Fuser Units etc. 2.) it would be really useful (I think at least ;-) ) if the Models page were to show a count of printers for each model, in the same way the manufacturer page shows a count of printers. 3.) Per-consumable critical / warning / OK levels. If I have only one of a particular model I may be happy to only have one consumable on the shelf; but if I have ten of this model I may consider four toners to be critical... I have run upgrade.php successfully I am confused at the next bit. •Copy inc/config/config.default.php to inc/config/config.php . does that mean copy the contents of config.default.php to config.php? I don't seem to have a config folder. I have a config and init file sitting loose in the inc folder. Have I gone wrong somewhere? It all seems to be working since the last upgrade. Your assistance would be appreciated.

webman Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Hi @fiza, have you copied everything over? Your inc folder should look like this. You can safely copy all of the files from the zip onto your installation. The change to the configuration makes it a bit more flexible, future upgrades will be easier, and allows features to be turned on and off. It just takes a little copying & editing this one time. To answer your question - yes. Once you have inc/config/config.default.php, copy this file (same folder, inc/config) and name it config.php. Edit the database entries in there, using your existing inc/init.php file as a reference. Once you've done that, delete inc/init.php and inc/config.php. For safety, you could just move or rename these until you're happy it's working. The chargeback functionality will get enabled by default via the new config file. To confirm this, you should see a "Chargeback" checkbox on the consumable add/edit pages, and a money icon in the consumable list and report page.

webman Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Do you guys still have the config.default.php file in your inc/config folder? You should have both config.default.php and your own config.php as well. This means that new config vars can be added and features can be enabled with updates without interfering with your local configuration file.
fiza Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 @webman - finally got it all working!!! My fault I did things too quickly. Beauty of VM I can roll back!!! Awesome update. Thanks @ticker - This is what I did - Copied all files across. This created a new config folder in which was config.default.php. I made a copy of this and called it config.php. I amended config.php with my database details. I then ran the upgrade. I then renamed inc\init.php and inc\config.php. Ran it and it all works with the new options of chargeback and consumable types.

'/../')); define('URL_ROOT', str_replace('\\', '/', substr(DOC_ROOT, strlen(realpath($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']))) . '/')); To this // Paths and URLs define('DOC_ROOT', realpath(dirname(__FILE__) . '/../')); define('URL_ROOT', '/printmaster/'); Just copied the stuff out of config.default.php to config.php make sure that the old info in config.php is deleted I then renamed init.php and config.php in \inc to init-old and config-old I then left the original config.default.php in the \inc\config folder so i have both config.php with the database settings and config.default.php in the \inc\config refreshed the printmaster site and now got the charge back checkbox etc.

Slight issue I now have is that the chargeback is related to the consumable rather than the printer. In our environment we have certain printer consumables we pay for ie in all the IT rooms. These don't have a chargeback. The same printer may be in Science where we do charge. It would be awesome if the chargeback could be linked to the printer instead.

I think I might have misunderstood the way it should have worked, or just forgot when I came round to doing it. I think I can easily add the option to printers though. Then, the chargeback option will be available for both printers and consumables - the choice will be yours. I will make this clear on the reports page by moving the icon next to the printer or consumable - depending on which one it is. Would that work for you? 1
