BatchFile Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 I saw these too - yikes at £170k a pop you'd expect Ferrari to have checked everything before going in to production! They are owned by FIAT remember... Weren't there a few Alfa Romeos (also FIAT) a few years back that had a tendancy to spontaneously combust???
tech_guy Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 And the batch of Fiat Mirafioris in the early 1980s where the engine bolts sheared and the engines literally fell out of the cars - my Gov't & Politics teacher had that happen to him on a motorway!

FIAT = Fix It Again Tomorrow Though it looks like a couple of those 458's will need more than a quick T-Cut...

But then looking at it sensibly, you could have a Ferrari 458 or a Porsche 911. Now ok the porsche is half the price and doesn't combust. Buttttt.... http://earlqhan.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/ferrari-458-italia-1-lg.jpg You'd need to be an accountant to say no.

I'm picturing one of the shiney wheels, a pile of ash ....... Hmmmm. I'll stick with my old Rover, peeling paint the lot. I want to be cremated but not yet.

tech_guy Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 A real 'oh, no!' site: Wrecked Exotic Cars - Pictures of Expensive Car Crashes and Wrecks And this gem: http://www.wreckedexotics.com/newphotos/weird/weirda152c.jpg
creese Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 But think of the risk your running, I personaly wouldn't been seen dead in a Rover, but a Ferrari? What risk? I hope I won't be seen dead in a Rover either.
Jawloms Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 But think of the risk your running, I personaly wouldn't been seen dead in a Rover, but a Ferrari? From the way these things catch fire, it seems anyone in a Ferrari is quite likely to be seen dead in one!
