Mission Maker compatibility issue with NetSupport

Mission maker will not work as NetSupport School is disabling direct 3D support. Obviously i need both pieces of software. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

 

I have been in contact with Immersive and they suggested i change the Grpahics registry settings. This fix works however the settings change back after a restart. Any help would be greatly apreciated...... starting to tear my hair out.

This is likely caused by NSS using a mirror driver, Windows disables Direct 3D when a mirror driver is loaded. You can configure at what stage a client machine loads the mirror driver or use an alternative method altogether.

 

On the student machine run the Client Configurator and select the Remote Control section, under View you can adjust when the mirror driver is loaded. By default the mirror driver is loaded when the Tutor connects. You can change this to load it when the Tutor wants to View the student. To allow Direct 3D all the time untick both "Except while viewed" and "Except while connected" and tick "Enable Screen Scrape".

 

Screen scrape is an alternative method of remote controlling which doesn't use the mirror driver.
