I just got a quote for refilling two cushions with foam and from one company it ranges form £270-£650. I am just shocked at the cost is this the going rate from a good company and has anyone else done this before?

The guy who has a stand at our local town market selling all sorts of foam and padding quoted £60 to supply 2 pieces of good quality foam cut to size for 2 sofa cushions. I don't know what extra work is involved with your setup eg unstitching & restitching the cushions etc but the upper quote of £650 seems excessive.

Go to your local market - we've got a guy at ours & he sits there cutting foam to size and he's amazing - I took two large sofa cushion covers along that were weird shapes and he cut the foam to fit perfectly and it cost me £15 each.

Could you get foam cut to size and use the existing cushion covers, or stitch your own? Somewhere like Southern Foam (76 Battersea Rise, Clapham, SW11 1EH - just round the corner from Clapham Junction station) will do foam cut to size for you, or I'm sure there are places you can order from.

The covers are removable any suggested supplier in the Birmingham/West Midlands area?

That seems very expensive. Did they have 18 ct gold thread? What size were they?
