Dell Latitude D531 Laptop Hard Drives

In my school most of the staff and student laptop trolleys have Dell D531 Laptops. Each week I am sending back a hard drive or power supply for one of these back to Dell (thank god for a 5 year warranty) I have used Dell laptops in the past for school and these just don't seem the same quality. Has anyone else had problems with this model?

We have several laptop trolleys here and staff with the D531. Apart from the IDE mode switching to PIO on some of them sometimes, i've not noticed any poorer quality than our other Dell laptops we have.

To be fair the hard drive faults are probably not Dells fault.

Nor the power supplies usually made made by a small number of third part manufacturers.
