Not sure I should be using this stuff... but it's exceptionally better and cheap to clean LCD Monitors & Laptops in general... from all them sticky keyboards from fizzy pop and sweets...

I find Pledge or any cheap "furniture polish" spray works well for those kinds of jobs as well, even better when swiped from the cleaners store room

They have some "professional" Screen wipes in PC World (hisssssss) for I think £9.99 yet they go dry within a week

Vicki at TCSLtd has some very nice wipes which are great and really good for cleaning PCs and stuff highly recommended

 

They are also good for helping damsels in distress, they do help remove the "orange hands" symptom that young ladies (and some men) seem to suffer from!

 

(we had a 6th former who was rather distressed as she was suffering from "orange hands" and thought the IT department are resourceful chaps so they may have a solution, and one of Vicki's wipes did tone it down a bit so she was happier )

Tesco sell own-brand baby wipes in packets of 500, complete with plastic resealable hatch for pulling them out. Sainsbury's sell them too, although their packaging is more soppy-looking (and they often sell out of the non-pink ones, no way was I buying those...) so I stuck with the Tesco ones. As a general rule, a combination of wet wipes and Brasso shifts pretty much anything.

The issue with sprays is, if they contain any alcohol additives, on the "soft" lcds when they heat up they can melt tiny little dots across the screen.

I've always used foam cleaner for absolutely everything. It says not to use on LCD screens, but it's never seemed to do any harm, and it's probably better for them than the horrid build up of sticky finger marks than practically any laptop gets in a school (including staff ones!) It cleans IWB's pretty good as well, and one can lasts ages!

 

Detol is probably avery good idea for the keyboards, who knows what nasties may be on those keys! <-- Yes this smilie is actually in the edugeek selection!
