Entrance Hall display

We want to spend some money on a display to go in the entrance hall. I'm thinking a flat screen TV with a USB port that act as a large photoframe but with video in so we can connect it to a computer in the future.

 

I have 55 minutes to come up with a solution!

We bought a Samsung Magicinfo system.... LCD TV with imbedded PC.... & Software to deploy content

go digital signage and have a whole new display of school news and events you could also have a gallary relaying off and a nice welcome message on there as well

Get the TV (with a HDMI Port) - Get a Computer with Windows and a HDMI Port - Download XIBO (IT'S FREE) and set it all up .. you'll need to be able to run a webserver too, but that can run on the same box using WAMP or something like that .. just set one up at my school and it works great ..

Acer REVO or ASUS EEEBoxes are small enough to mount nearby - plus have decent GFX...

 

Alternatively the LG 5000 LCD TV series has a build in USB video player

Another plus one to that idea. We set Xibo up in the entrance in our school and it's gone down a treat! Used an Acer Revo (nice and compact). Works perfect.

There's a 32" Samsung TV and bracket set in the office. So I guess something is happening?
