pettit87 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 We currently run a powerpoint presentation to show students the status of repairs and when their laptop is ready for collection from the ICT support team. We have a monitor mounted in a foyer for students to view. This is monitor is linked to a computer running a powerpoint presentation. We are currently having to stop the powerpoint and edit when the status of a repair changed. This is about 10-15 changes a day, each time having to vnc to the computer running the presentation and editing the file. How can I create a single file that can be updated and linked to the school website that reads this file and refreshes the page at a 30 minute or so interval? I have very limited knowledge of website creation as our website is outsourced. And even more limited knowledge on creating a website that calls data from a file that is constantly updated!! Many Thanks
localzuk Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Create your page and put: in the head section - with 600 being seconds. The browser will then auto-refresh.
