Netwacky87 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Evening All! Has anybody ever tried creating a virtual image from virtualbox/virtual pc etc, and deployed it to a physical box, Ive tried this once but the physical box I deployed it to just kept on rebooting itself, I think just having a base virtual image would be more easily manageable... Any thoughts? Cheers, Mart
MatthewL Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Sounds like it could be a HAL issue, I know if you use MySysPrep you can sort this out but from the top of my head I am not 100% sure as I haven't used it as I am not involved in imaging at the moment.
Netwacky87 Posted June 22, 2010 Author Posted June 22, 2010 Hmmmm, I have heard of MySysPrep but I thought that wasnt needed aslong as you syspreped it....again im a beginner and im not sure!...I will have a go tomorrow!! Thanks Matthew!
MatthewL Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I don't have a link but if you search the forum you should find it. MySysPrep is slightly more advanced and handles things a little better so I am told especially when it comes to the HAL. It does the same as SysPrep but has more features. All I recommend you do is take an image of what you have before you start playing with SysPrep/MySysPrep and then you have something you can restore back to before you started playing. When I first started with images it was just trial and error till I got it right.
K.C.Leblanc Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Is there a link for the mysysprep as i cant find a download link. Let me google that for you
