Help desk software

Hi all

 

I would like to know if there is any help desk addons for the Joomla package. I am thinking of using Joomla for our intranet and would like to incorporate a help desk?

 

has anyone else implemented this or something similar.

 

I would like to use Joomla or similar because as usual, there is no money to spend!!

Never used Joomla but I can tell you Spiceworks has a fantastic Helpdesk feature.

It has the ability to link up calls to devices/computer and rooms aswell as adding time details to create reports so you get an idea how well technicians are performing.

Thanks smitho, I have looked at Spiceworks previously and didn't really get on with it. I thought there was a lot of things that I didn't really want.

Hello! Try this Help Desk Software HESK - a free PHP help desk it's free and will run alongside Joomla if you're running apache.

Sysaid do a free version of their helpdesk software.. you won't get ldap / email integration or any of the other bells and whistles but it is very good and worth looking at.

Thanks Clarky, I like the look of Huru. Its exactly what im after. Ill need to play around with it first. Any other suggestions anyone??

I've got a simple helpdesk in my sig, runs on asp though but can be embedded into a sharepoint or joomla page.

 

You would have to run IIS though.
