WebCams That Do Not Need Drivers

I sort of remember a thread on here about webcams that do not need drivers. As need to buy some webcams and if can get ones that do not need drivers than all the better.

We bought 16 Logitech QuickCam E3500 Webcams a while back. We've used them for animation.

There are some logitech ones that DON'T need drivers (which is a godsend!) but I cannot remember which ones they are off the top of my head, they just plug in and work like any usb device does Badders on here will know which they are as where he is had about 40 of them bought by the ICT Dept and I know we were worried about having to put loads more drivers out but they just plugged in and worked

We used the same as marcgr, Logitech E3500. Although I think they may be have stopped making them now, somw suppliers still have them in stock. Good image and just plug them in, they even install as a student account.

The one's we used were Logitech QuickCam E3500's. They just plugged in, even as a student account and worked. Not sure whether they still make them, I think the C300 is very similar although we haven't tried one.
