Has anyone had a look at using Stardock Fences to deliver an organised desktop to students? Not only can this product allow you to set out a desktop inside of transparent windows, but it will also handle changed in screen resolution, so it doesn’t matter if the screen is set to 1024x768 or higher “fences” will remember and organise the layout.

 

Just one big problem, it’s not an enterprise solution meaning that a layout can’t be delivered from a network drive. Also, the configuration can’t be locked down in anyway stopping the students changing the layout.

 

I was wondering if anyone has had a close look at Stardock Fences and has managed to over come any of the problems and turning it into an enterprise solution for desktop management. Or perhaps you know of a different product.
