fooby Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Has anyone here tried data protection manager 2006? we are looking to rid ourselves of the swearword Verit-ass it hasnt worked properly to what we want, so we are looking to this to see if it fits in with what we want, also what do other people use? P.S i searched already - im suprised this hasn't come up before? fooby
john Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I think DPM has come up before, but no I haven't used it, keep thinking about it, but there are other things out there that can be used instead / with it such as Shadow Copies on the actual server for quick file recovery etc

fooby Posted December 14, 2006 Author Posted December 14, 2006 I have that here also, but over 24 hours to do a backup of our student data (400gb) and then staff (300gb) then theres SIMS (200gb) exchange (100gb) - i was hoping DPM could do some magic so i dont need 20tb to cover mein backup to disk fooby
