ba9ag Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Does anyone know how RM have created their RMR launcher (i.e. the one that allows you to boot into RM Restore if you press both shift keys at a certain point during startup) I would love to be able to do this to launch ghost. Thanks in advance.
p858snake Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 You could do a PXE server for your ghost disc, but your mtoherboards would need to support PXE/Network Booting.
ba9ag Posted July 5, 2010 Author Posted July 5, 2010 Thanks for that, I'll look into it. I am curious, however, as to how the big companies make recovery partitions. Any ideas anyone?
ba9ag Posted July 5, 2010 Author Posted July 5, 2010 do they not use something similar to GRUB4DOS? I've seen that mentioned a lot. Thought it might be possible to first create a small fat32 partition and install some type of dos - free dos, pc dos. The create a second partition for Windows, then a third partition for images. Maybe the could use a bootloader to select whether to boot to ghost (via dos part.) or to windows.
