HP Mini 5102

Hi all,

 

I have been having a few problems with the new HP mini 5102.

 

We have a set of students that use the Mini's to log onto the network (wireless). However some of the Mini's do not log on. Instead come up with the domain is not availble.

 

The strange thing is some of the Mini's log on fine with the wireless, they are in the same room, same build etc.

 

Im almost certain its do with the stupid HP wireless assisant thing.

 

Has anyone else had the same problem? Either with the Mini's or any other HP laptop?

I have a 5101, and have never got it to see and use the built-in 3g!!! which was why i bought it in the first place. no problem with wireless other than it's not great at picking up signal, when compared to my MacBookPro, i needed to move at least 2 metres closer, but that was just at home, out in hotels and McDonalds it was fine.

 

Is the 5102 the new tablet edition with touch screen? v.snazzy

 

There are a few forums just for HP mini users, that might be worth going to, though i didn't get much out, they may be more developed now.
