PEO Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Hi, I need a rackmounted UPS for our main core cabinet, Can anyone please recommend me one Cheers Kev
pete Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 I have a 1U APC 1500 SmartUPS on our switch rack, but it's an open two-post comms rack. Powers *thinks* about 12U of active kit and haven't had any problems with it. 1
Butuz Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Ideally you's need to find out how much power each switch in your cab uses so you can work out what size UPS you need. Procurves we have use about 30 watts each so I use one or two SPC Smart UPS SC450 1u rack mount UPS's depending on how many switches in a cab. Core switches are powered my the main server UPS's. Reason I use the 450s is they are not very deep so can fit in some of the smaller cabs, unline the 700/1000/1500 which are too deep. Butuz
