ROBOCOP Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Our school opted out of the ICT contract hence the "Survivor" quote. Ahh, that explains a lot. Being able to opt out is pretty rare - are you going to be an Academy or just a refurb?
linuxgirlie Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I havejust got back from the Kent Governor's Association meeting at Maidstone where there was much discussion of the new academies (KCC don't want us to convert, though they didn't say it directly) and School Improvment Partners, but nothing about BSF So, I asked directly "What's happening to BSF?" The answer was that it's on hold. Wave 3 is complete. Wave 4 is on hold pending an announcement from the government which they're not expecting before the budget. They're hoping it will complete Wave 5 may possibly go ahead with less money Wave 6 as Wave 5, but there's a chance it could happen before Wave 5! I'm in a Wave 5 school, I would say in Kent, Wave 6 will go before Wave 5 because Wave 6 is in the KLEP1 whereas we are in KLEP2.
Rozzer Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Nope its a partial rebuild and we have recently just become a cooperative trust.
