A very good friend of mine has been short listed to the final 2 in a business challenge, if he wins he will a personal mentor for his business and himself along with lots of other goodies including a top of the range laptop. As he's only interested in the business side of the stuff he is going to give away the top of the range laptop (and will ship anywhere in the world).

He will pick a winner from all that voted and it will be announced on his website and in the local paper.

I wouldnt usually do this but he helped me kick start my business and also has a passion for helping young people off the streets at working.

All you have to do is visit this website: VOTE FOR ME + WIN A LAPTOP!

All votes are a massive help and you could win a laptop, you have nothing to lose.

Almost like data harvesting. Why have a code?

I'm sorry but it's 100% not suspicious.

Getting the code takes you to this site: Darren Williams' profile • If We Can You Can <-- this site is obviously real and you can read all about the guy, the code is a requirement of that website.

Full-Effect internet LTD is a successful webdesign company ran buy that said guy "Darren Williams" - i have recently taken over this company called Uplift Media. Because his other business venture Hair Extensions. Clip in Hair Extensions. Human Hair Extensions. has taken off so much, and it's because of that website he is up for this business challenge.

I hope that rectifys it for you :) let me know if you have anymore questions.

Yeah, that domain is breaking registration rules - only private individuals are allowed to opt out, not businesses (Nominet - Terms and Conditions - "7.2 any identity and contact information you (either yourself or through your agent) send us must be correct;"). Sorry but this entire thing just doesn't sit right, especially for someone so new to the site.

Maybe recommend he lift the privacy restriction on his whois result...

As a legit business there is no reason for it to be there...
