Improvements made to UK Plug

The law states a 'competent person' can do some things, changing of plugs included. It doesn't void any of my insurance and I make up my own cables from scratch and do some wiring, where i am aloud to do so, in buildings.

Why would transformers need cable that size on the input? Output cables could need bigger cable, but the input?

 

 

No idea - it's just what it came with, i just replaced the plug as it had been smashed in transit.

The person asking was inquiring where to buy the parts in Australia, so its safe to assume that is where they are going to be doing the work as well so i pointed out the Australian laws.
