When a user logs on, only their N: drive is displayed in Windows Explorer. None of the other mapped network drives show.

I've checked RM tech article TEC1513739, but both update CC4UPD032 & CC4UPD038 are installed.

'Station Delivery Map Drive.csv', report that all the appropriate drives for this user's logon have been successfully mapped.

First time visit to this school & my first exposure to CC4! School have let their RM software support control expire in 2009 and network is in quite a mess...

Hoping someone can help me out...

Is this for one user or a group? If a group then see below.

In the RMMC under the registry policy for the usergroup in question are the other drives set to not be visible?

RMMC > Registry Policies > User Policies > Group > Drives > Specify which drives are hidden

Edit: If you right click on the user in the RMMC check to see what registry policy is being applied to them.

Its all groups...

Just the C: drive set as not visible for User Policy Staff, all others should be visible.

Although there is a 'Copy of Staff' policy which does have them all hidden - but that policy is not being used (I dont know why its there).

If you create a new user as a test, can they see the drive mappings?

Also if you choose a particular computer then right click > Properties > Drive Mappings

Are all the drives listed there?

Okay, under registry policies, try hiding the mapped drives, applying this and then unhiding the drives again just to make sure the setting is being saved to AD?

Edit: Have you seen DWN1293117 on the RM site? If you don't have access to this then let me know what version of RM Stndeliv you're using on your machines.

Ah, we might be making progress. The TEC article DWN1293117 has been superceeded by CC4UPD038, which appeared that it had been downloaded. Checking RM Stndeliv its version 6.0.70.0.0 however its not installed on the Client Workstations. Have assigned the package, but when checking the assignment overview I see only a few of the main site computers listed (just 10), the package is installed on 5, 6 have Install pending and I get an error message:

An error occurred while deploying packages

Unhandled exception : Repository Manager has generated an error, the error code is unknown error in Repository Manager.

Checked a station that indicates the package is installed but still no mapped network drives.

Assuming you don't have access to the updates from RM, I'd look at getting your support contract sorted out so you can grab all the latest updates and bring the network up to speed.

At the very least, with a support contract, somebody from RM will take a look at the server and tell you if you're missing any vital updates that could solve the problem. I imagine they'll do out-of-contract support but it probably won't be cheap.

AJS, - No money available for the RM support contract I'm afraid and RM dont do an out of contract support option.

Now noticed that my documents arent mapped either.

I think it would be worthwhile you putting an argument forward on why support should be purchased. There have been a lot of updates that you're missing out on and with SR2 around the corner. The RM setup can sometimes make it difficult to resolve the issues yourself and as you're slowly finding more things that don't work. Before your network grinds to a halt I'd look at what you can do to get the support in place soon.

We have this problem consistently... more so due to wireless in the school and a few blank zones thru which the teacher carry their laptop... so i've just written a batch file with NET USE command, it connects all the shared network drives and since the teacher's log in have local admin rights, it works just fine!

You must do something, as mentioned either replace the network or buy into the support - you need those updates otherwise you could be putting the security of your network and it's users at risk.
