My documents redirection weirdness

Having some odd problems with folder redirection on my server.

 

I created a staff profile using a current staff member but gave them domain admin and admin permissions while i created the profile.

 

Copied the profile to the server and made it mandatory

 

applied the profile to staff and all is well apart from the following weirdness:

 

Gpo is set for my docs to be redirected to users home drive (sepcified as H: from AD)

 

yet for some reason all other staff members are pointing to the my docs folder that i created the profile with, no amount of fiddling or tweaking resets the staff to their home folders (even though the drive is mapped in my comp)

look at the user.man in your profile (it's essentially HKEY_Current_User). There will be re-directed folders within it. Run regedit, highlight hklm and select load hive from file menu. Load the user.man file from your problem profile (give it a temp name). Now open HKLM\temp name of hive\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\shell folders\Personal and delete the data. Unload the hive and test your logon again.
