Guest Guest Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 This has been a re-ocuring problem for a while now. It was realy bad at one point but the last few months its been pretty fine, until this week where its failing again. Anyway when i goto AD Sites & Services and do a manual replication i get the "RPC server unavailible - this may be a DNS lookup problem" This may be from one server to the other but fine the opposite way. Or today its working in both directions apart from when i remote desktop to one of teh DC's and it doesnt work one way. So effectively out of 4 possible connections 3 are fine and 1 fails. I can normally correct this problem by restarting all or a few of the services; DNS server File Replication RPC Locator Any idea's? We were hoping this may be a commmen problem thats fixed by SP1. I think im going to get one DC uped to SP1 tommorow, but until then does anyone have any clue whats going on?
