amfony Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Hi Gang, Simple question -- SSL Gateway, as in, a single server/device that I can drop an SSL Wildcard Cert on and have it provide https:// for any number of internal websites which can be located on different hardware. How to do this, without ISA? And apparently current front end f/w doest support this either. Can anyone give hints, tips, assistance how ... do you do it? Cheers
powdarrmonkey Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 I'd do it with Apache as a reverse proxy, but that's mostly just preference.
FN-GM Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 We use the sonicwall sll vpn SSL VPN Secure Remote Access - Everywhere Access For Every Size Organization - SonicWALL, Inc. demo here: https://sslvpn.demo.sonicwall.com/cgi-bin/welcome 1
amfony Posted May 11, 2010 Author Posted May 11, 2010 Thanks for the help guys. I'd do it with Apache as a reverse proxy, but that's mostly just preference. Thanks powdarrmonkey -- ive never utilised a reverse proxy before. Could this reverse proxy do host-header redirection as well as the wildcard ssl placment? Thanks again!
powdarrmonkey Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 See Reverse proxy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia for the broad principles and mod_proxy - Apache HTTP Server for the Apache module that implements it. 1
tom_newton Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 There's also Apsis Gmbh - this may be easier to set up than apache. There's another good 'un that RobF has actually managed to bodge onto a smoothie, but he's not in yet, if this thread gets bumped I may remember to ask him! 1
