mhussain Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Hi when i do i google search for some reason somethimes google search will redirect me to a totally diffrent page, gambling pages ect ect i have disabled on the internet add ons. is there any thionk else that i can do? done a virus check on the computer and it came out clear
Hightower Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Sounds like Spyware/Malware. I'd recommend downloading http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/defender/default.mspx (if Windows O/S) and running that. Others will recommend downloading and running Malwarebytes 1

Arthur Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 It could also be a TDSS-based rootkit which is very difficult to get rid of. There are a few more programs you could try if Malware-Bytes doesn't work... 1) AVP Tool and/or TDSS Killer from Kaspersky. 2) ComboFix 3) Trend Micro's SysClean. 4) A bootable anti-virus CD like this one from Avira, so you can scan the computer outside of Windows.
