Problems with Network Speed

This morning several users have reported that our Internet access is iffy - comes up ok sometimes others hangs and fails.

 

Checking with SWGfL we are OK to our router.

 

Pings to bbc are fast (5ms) However, Speedtest confirms things over the Internet are intermittent ping 32ms, and upload speed just fails in some cases.

 

Any suggestions on where to look next

Excess traffic on your network, get wireshark installed and have a peek inside.

 

Could be broadcast packets or could just be a loopback?

Any common traits to the affected machines (eg connected to same switch) or is this a site wide issue?

It's site wide - checking network trafic I see a little dear has been a regular visitor to Dubstep.fm so I'm filtering that soon!
