SimpleSi Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 @sysman Nice work, but ..... I'd add a tiny weeny bit of blur to the cross just to minimise the staircasing (Says simon running quickly away and hiding ) I tried attaching a version but I don't seem to be able to add attachments
SimpleSi Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 (edited) FOund out I had to click advanced to get all the reply options Here it is I selected the yellow increased selection by 1 pixel and did a 1 radius Gaussian Blur This is in GIMP regards Simon PS You need to compare both full sized images - its a very subtle diff that only really noticeable on top edge of right hand arm of the cross. PPS Sorry - I've spent a LOT of time on these sort of logos and I'm a bit OCD with them now PPPS But at least I didn't mention the dirty fork (the inside arc of the shield) - oops! SimpleSi Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Original is just a transparent AI EPS with no drop shadow or gloss effect. Well - its still got to be rendered as a 120x120 image on a website PS all that Gaussian Blur has done is made it out of focus. Your say out-of-focus - i say softer MInd you - I went to get my a copy of my last effort on a logo - and it wasn't good enough to even post But critics don't have to do Si
