Recycling old mobiles

For the past 11 years I was PTA treasurer and in particular ran a recycling scheme for old mobiles where the PTA got £300 for recycling 200 mobiles Fones4Schools

 

We still get old mobiles dropped off for recycling but two hundred is too big a target to reach again - can any one recommend any other schemes please?

I have not looked but what about Mazuma and Envirofone? Do they not take phones from schools?

i'd try Handy Recycling they pay the money straight into a bank account and offer quite good prices my friend uses them regular and never had a problem

or Sell mobile phone for cash, Trade in, recycle mobile phones they give £170 for an iphone 3g 8gig I might send mine of as im getting a desire tonight!

You could always try the post office? Simply Drop

 

I've heard of more than a few problems when dealing with the recycling companies who you ship your phone to via the post. Such as being told your phone was 'damaged' whilst in transit, and thus they're unwilling to pay you the full price.
