Hi All,

Thinking this will be a long shot but thought i'd have a go. We have been using some netbooks for a while now as an experiment to see how well recieved and useful free and open source software can be, and whether the pupils will warm to free packages.

Some pupils had created some powerpoint slide shows using OO Impress (using a template created in PowerPoint), the majority of these worked apart from three of them. When double clicked nothing happens, doesnt even launch the program.

I have tried opening them using powerpoint on my machine and i get "Powerpoint cant read the outline from 'filename.ppt' No text converter is installed for this files type.

All office updates are installed, and have compatability packs installed aswell.

If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated,

Regards,

Chris
