All-in-One computers. Any suggestions?

Can I ask how much you guys would expect to pay for an all-in-one. I have a budget of about £420 per pc including monitor etc, and I'm not sure if I could afford them.

Any good AIO's with VGA out? Would be good as Interactive Whiteboard machines. Really don't want to resort to USB external graphics card.

the newer models include dedicated graphics chips, seemingly, and might be more suited to graphics-heavy work.

 

Just been looking in to this again, might be buying some machine for projectors over the summer. These look like decent machines:

Need non widescreen AIO with VGA output

Found MSI Crystal A410 and Enlight LP-571 which both fit the bill (linky)

Ergo As1 is widescreen.

anyone have any experience with these models (also likely to be available rebadged)

Hiyah .. Ive just bought 6 and they're great ... The Nvidia ION graphics seem to handle very well everything Ive throw at them. Videos are smooth without any jerkiness. The only thing Ive found with this type of pc is the audio sockets get broken if the kids jerk the headphone leads. We've tied ours so this cant happen now .. It might be worth buying some xp licences cheap if you can find them or if you have any non oem surplus licences from old kit buy the windows pro 7 upgrade from the software licensing specialist for £34.00.

Ergo also have a new all-in-one called (imaginatively, the AS3). It's calpella and pretty configurable (also available with touchscreen) not on their website yet so you'll have to call them..

That's not a hugely specified machine if you want it to last 3 - 5 years. The ones I bought to last 3 years in classrooms had 4GB ram, with quad core processors etc...

sorry to get off topic but as I perceive it the growth in PC specs has slowed down over the last few years. I just don't see the next OS after Win 7 gobbling up yet more resources on the desktop. Esp as there are moves towards netbooks and thin clients.
