mrbios Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) robocopy you can tell it to keep all the permissions etc (i think the GUI has to be downloaded seperately, or you can use it command line, been ages since i last used it) http://ss64.com/nt/robocopy.html Edited April 20, 2010 by mrbios
glennda Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 backup then restore is the method i tend to use - its pretty simple to do and works
Psymon Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 robocopy you can tell it to keep all the permissions etc (i think the GUI has to be downloaded seperately, or you can use it command line, been ages since i last used it) Robocopy Vote 2 for robocopy. Copied over 300Gb of a shared area across to a new server whilst retaining permissions. Psy
