logon screen colours inverted

i have a couple of xp pro pcs that users have managed to invert the colours at the welcome to windows logon screen and background, once you log in the are as normal. Anybody know of how to set it back to the default please

If there is no logged on user then the settings are taken from the "Default User profile". Either create a new profile or copy one over from an unaffected.

 

It may also be a good idea to the file permissions on your C: drive. Students should only have write access to their own local/cached profiles.
