DaveMurphy Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 I want to display my laptop on a projector thats about 30 meters away, the only connectors that lead to the projector is the basic rca, video l and r sound. We don't have a VGA lead thats long enough to reach that distance but I did find an adaptor. (image below) but how would I get this adaptor to work? I tried plugging it in but the Projector didn't detect it. http://imgs.tootoo.com/37/0d/370d3b8daf76a3d6f4420711aebd4e08.jpg
Guest Guest Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 They only work if your vga output supported them, which most dont. You need a proper £40 convertor box. You're far better off buying a long vga lead.
Ben-BSH Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Startech High-Resolution Coaxial SVGA Monitor Extension Cable 100ft / 30.4m - Ebuyer I would agree with the above, just get a 30 meter cable, the above we use, and they seem to work perfectly.
