VGA to S-Video / RCA

I want to display my laptop on a projector thats about 30 meters away, the only connectors that lead to the projector is the basic rca, video l and r sound. We don't have a VGA lead thats long enough to reach that distance but I did find an adaptor. (image below) but how would I get this adaptor to work? I tried plugging it in but the Projector didn't detect it.

They only work if your vga output supported them, which most dont. You need a proper £40 convertor box. You're far better off buying a long vga lead.

I would agree with the above, just get a 30 meter cable, the above we use, and they seem to work perfectly.
