Edugeek clan perhaps?

I had a but of a brainwave and thought that as most people have either MW2 or BFBC2, for either xbox, ps3, or PC, there could be an official edugeek clan? You know, play together, all club together to get our own servers etc?

Whats all that about then? There is a fine line between geeks and nerds, and im sure the spec of the home pc adds value.

 

Money comes into it I'm currently watching parts on ebay, hoping they stay cheap.

I tell you what, I will buy the domain edugeekclan.co.uk (£9.99 for 2 years), and a small hosting package (1GB space, 5GB traffic, 2MYSQL Databases, 1 subdomain, unlimited emails and ftp - £15 per year) and do this all later.

 

Set up the website using e107 and my custom module (so it can have Xbox live gamer tags, PSN gamer tags and PC Xfire gamer tags) and go from there. Anybody have an issue with this?

Im about to upgrade myself, I want an I7 and dammit im going to have one! just dont tell the wife.

 

Well, I've got my eye on a Q6600 second hand chip on ebay, as it'll slot into my existing mobo - extending the machine's life for a while longer. I then need to find a 8800GTX or similar. Nice and cheap.

Currently got a Q6600 and it's a very capable chip . Also recently upgraded from a faulty 8800GTS to a ATI 4870 - both brilliant cards .

I didn't get a chance to buy the domain and space last night so I may do this evening. When it's bought, I shall have it set up within an hour - forums, donate meter, rosters for xbox, ps3, and pc users :-)

Having spoke with zerohour yesterday regarding this, we think we cane up with a food solution, but it will wait until glue has done his work on the backend of the site.

For those that have the PC version of BC2, I am testing out a server for us to use.

To find the BC2 server use the server browser and search for "EduGeek" and it should show up in the list (its 32 player).
