Since becoming HoICT many moons ago I've collected a vast amount of paper and bumff that has been given out to me over the years. Notes from courses, minutes of meetings and so forth.

This week I have been putting my MFD to good use and scanning in old documents for storage. Some are useful, some are not - but I now have a good PDF archive of stuff that I can store somewhere.

I've tried giving the files sensible file names but I fear this may not be enough. I want to tag it all.

So at the moment it is all spread over several directories. I wonder if anyone has a suggestion to how I can store and tag all of these files - and then back them up and store them.

Any advice welcome,

Gareth

An e-Portfolio system of some kind might be appropriate, maybe something like Mahara or Moodle's new Portfoli API.
