Right, decided to give in and reimage the laptop where the keyboard and mouse wont play nice...

I thought i'd be ok because it seemed to work ok in POST but not in windows, but as soon as i get into Ghost they stop working.

So i plugged in USB Keyboard and mouse. Mouse is there, but doesnt work and keyboard doesnt work at all...

Any ideas? This is my first role where working with Ghost so there may be something i dont know about...

Sounds like Ghost is overriding the USB controller and taking control of it. Have you looked at the symantec support - I'm sure I have seen this before but cannot pin it down

How are you booting into ghost? (PXE network, floppy, cd, usb)?

What options were selected when you made your ghost boot disc?

You can set an autorun option so that no keyboard input is needed we do it for pupils laptops from wakefield, just pop the DVD in and it images the laptop. Im just trying to find the woman who has the CD's to send the correct commands, think she is on dinner though!

Have a look in the BIOS and see if there is something like "enable legacy USB support" and try setting (or sometimes un-setting) it!

Which version of ghost are you using?

If you alter the autoexec.bat within your ghost boot file you can add some switches onto the end of ghost.exe.

With ghost 7 we use the following line to automaticaly join our computers to a session called WELOVEROY.

GHOST.EXE -fni -clone,src=@MCweloveroy,dst=1 -sure

EDIT: The -fni switch isn't related to joining a session it's something that was needed to make ghost work with some of our PCs.

EDITEDIT: If you met Roy, you'd understand.
