Hi,

Just wondering if anyone else uses netop school 6 with windows 7.

We are currently experiencing difficulties with netop school picking up all the users in a particular class.

Example: Users log in 23 computers and Netop only sees 18.

Next lesson users log in netop picks 20 out of 23 computers and different ones are missing.

(doesn't seem to be related to which PC's the users log into or indeed which users log in)

Any thoughts??

We found that they were right clicking the default IE shortcut and choosing "Run without plugins", we had to remove that with GP and just create a shortcut.

We are expering the same problems. Having Windows 7 Enterprise, Netop version 6.12, McAfee Antivirus and ISA as firewall. What we see is the following with permissions within Netop:

WORKING SITUATION:

C:\Program Files\Netop\Netop School\Student

(after installation of Netop, the permissions are inherited from de parent directory, C:\Program Files\Netop)

- trustedinstaller (special, inherited from parent directory, these and underlying folders)

- system (full control, inherited from parent directory, these and underlying folders)

- administrators (full control, inherited from parent directory, these and underlying folders)

- users (read en execute, inherited from parent directory, these and underlying folders)

- creator owner (special. inherited from parent directory, underlying folders)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the student isn't visable anymore, we see the following:

A NONE WORKING SITUATION:

C:\Program Files\Netop\Netop School\Student

(after logging off a user/student from Windows 7)

- system (special, not inherited, only this folder)

- administrators (special, not inherited, only this folder)

- interactive (special, not inherited, only this folder)

- NetOpActivity (special, not inherited, only this folder)

The last two permissions are typical. And it looks like Netop is doing something in the background, but did not finish de job correctly . . .

Any thoughts about the above findings ?
