Well if you do.... there's an app for that!

News

I found the app for Windows Mobile on the Microsoft Marketplace. To sum it up, you take a picture of something (hole in the road, fly tipping, graffiti, etc.) and the application tags it with your GPS coordinates and sends off a complaint to the local council.

Genius and a must have for your Windows Mobile of iPhone (assuming the battery lasts long enough to use it).

yup i am in the habit of installing all free apps to my WM phone!

Still I'll be getting an android phone next, downloaded the SDK and been playing about with some programs. Don't fancy the $99 fee for programs on WM marketplace

FixMyStreet have an iPhone app along these lines. It is a great resource anyway but to have the ability to report on the fly is awesome. They allow you to report a whole raft of problems that will then get reported to the correct council where ever you are.

I'd expect the law suit from Mr Jobs in the next day or so Ric as he's probably patented that phrase ;)

Nice idea for an App though, except I'd have run out of credit by the time I'd done the potholes from my house to the main A road! (but unlike the iPhone I would have plenty of battery left ;) )

Sadly no Android version it seems...

FixMyStreet has an Android app available from the Marketplace, which might be of interest (disclaimer: I work on FixMyStreet).
