Mystic Met Office abandons long range forecasts

Yet Met Office staff received performance-related pay bonuses worth over £12m over 5 years, it was revealed last week, in response to a Parliamentary question.

In a statement, the Mystic Met said.

 

Does this mean if I do sh*t at my job I'll get a bonus too ?

Why not?

 

Without going into detail that is the way I have seen it work in the past so why not again?

 

I happens all over: The [Nationalised] Banks, Parliament, Energy Companies, Other Utilities,....

 

The list goes on. Should it not be our turn now?

 

We could start doing a really cr*ppy job then sit back and wait for the [big] bonuses to roll in.

But we get more holidays a year, job security, better pensions... oh but wait, we get absolutely sh1te wages so we don't get to actually go on holiday because we can't afford to, our jobs are under threat because the public purse bailed out the private sector, and we probably won't live to see our pensions because we are worrying about not getting paid enough so stress will kill us off early anyway.
