KWestos Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 We changed our proxy address a few weeks ago! Now something strange is happening to some laptops. I have just witnessed 16 laptops connecting to the network ok, but the only laptop which could connect to the internet was one which had an old proxy address in there. All the other had the new address, and could not connect, how could this be???? I've looked at GPO and our proxy settings are set per user not machine.
dwhyte85 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Maybe the laptops haven't auth'd with domain... but you should/would get a prompt? Have you tried to use IP rather than hostname in address of proxy?
k-strider Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 do you have a wpad file on a webserver and you have detect settings automatically which takes presidance over the proxy settings
