Nothing to see here. Bill Gates does live vaccenes, his foundation spends billions on providing these for poor countries around the world. The world is sufferign huge population growth, and the vast majority of this is from poor nations who traditionally have large families, as it is expected that many children will die through diesese or naturaly disasters. Giveing vaccenes to ensure the suvavability of children will reduce teh number of children being born. Many of these nations who are now 'modernising' (India is a good example) are slowly reducing their birth rate becuase infant survavability is now so high. There is simply not enough food or resources for the estimated population growth in third world nations for them to carry on like this. In the UK many families, even less than 70 years ago would have 5 or more children. Nowadays it is 2. The clip is propagana by some individual who clearly does not understand the subject being discussed.

Interesting different view from the usual Malthusian propaganda all over the TV and media. Nothing like scaring the whole population into taking utterly needless injections.

 

The 'Impact of Science of Society' seems more focused on propping up big pharma than improving food and resources.

If you watch the whole Bill Gates talk on TED (see http://www.ted.com/talks/bill_gates.htmlthe balance of the talk is hugely different. Well worth 27 minutes of your time - as is so much on TED. Gates is dead right, frowm what I know and have seen: vaccines and healthcare, including clean water and sanitation, have the initially counterintuitive effect of reducing population because completed family size declines very quickly in response. I didn't know about his proposed nuclear technology - will have to follow it up sometime.
