Scorpio Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Hi Guys and Gals We are due to install 2 smartboards and projectors in a school and we have the following questions if anyone can help me save some time. (We want ceiling mounted projectors not the inbuilt ones) 1. Which is the best 64" smart board? 2. What model and make of projector is best to be used? 3. What speaker systems / wall outlets do people use. ? 4. where is the cheapest pleace to supply only.? Any other tips wouold be helpful. Many Thanks.
TechSupp Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 As for projector, I would always go for the Ultra Short Throw projectors instead of ceiling/pole mounted ones if I can afford the extra involved. May not be the cheapest option but I've found they are the best at the moemnt for us. We have the Hitachi A111, good results so far. As for smart board options, go with the standard Smartboard
Scorpio Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 Hiya Too expensive for what they have to spend hence normal projector and smartboard...
Educare_AV Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 1. Which is the best 64" smart board? Standard Smart SB 660 2. What model and make of projector is best to be used? I would go for an Epson EMP - X7, Try and go for a deal with a spare lamp ( Try RM) 3. What speaker systems / wall outlets do people use. ? Either Nuvo or Sahara Speakers, Both around £100 a set, Sahara ones include a USB hub so you can just plug a memory stick into them to retrieve files without going back to the PC. Outlets Vision pro do an ok set, but you will need to terminate the connections your self. Or Sahara do a plug and play type which is a little more expensive. I would also recommend the Sahara universal mounting kit for the bracketry. 4. where is the cheapest pleace to supply only.? Sahara Presentation Ltd or CPC

sippo Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 We use Sahara speakers here, and no issues whatsoever. Good quality for the price!
