Winfolder on Iphone/Ipod touch

Hello guys,

 

We are currently using Bromcom's Win-folder for e-reg, we are having problems with our PE department as they need to be able to take reg on the field. WiFi coverage is sorted but its not a good idear to take a 17" laptop in the middle of a muddy field. so we got some of bromcom's useless xpda's but i have had enough of them not working properly.

 

as all of our PE staff have Iphones I thought we could use that,

 

is there "an app for that" or a secret web interface

theres definatly a site you can visit that allows you to access the registers. So they could just use the browser on the iphone.

Hi RavenADSL,

Yep there is a "secret web interface" as you put it, but it really isn't all that secret. Go to our website and take a look.

The WebFolder product is able to do what you need, it's a browser based registration utility and essentially does everything Winfolder can do.

Htech's suggestion is also technically correct as you could, if the core MIS site was published on your external IP (or the PE teachers iPhones authenticated ont he internal network), use the attendance registration page within the eRegistration module. But that would generally involve a bit more configuration than most users are happy to undertake, also the page that would use isn't optimised for use on a mobile phone sized browser.
