This is a comprehensive write up on how the BBC website came to look how it does now. Some of it goes beyond what I would be interested in but I think it is worthy of reading again [which I will do tomorrow]

 

I do not support our website but if anyone out there is about to redesign the website for their establishment this could provide some inspiration for you.

 

It may surprise some how much work went into reworking the website but only because they take it for granted as it is usually there when they need it and it gives them what they need. This gives an idea as to what goes on 'behind the scenes'

 

Includes a brief profile of Neville Brody and a catalogue of some other work he has undertaken.

That's a good post, I'm just a little uneasy with the use of the word "business" to describe the BBC throughout it!

Good post - the inconsistency of the BBC site annoys me often (in particular, the news sub-site which seems to use multiple styles).

Are you a designer? developer? Like color? Want to do some cool things with Adobe's Kuler application? Now you can.

 

The Adobe Labs project Kuler, is a hosted color picker application that allows for inspiration, creativity and sharing, they now have an API for developers. This new Kuler API allows developers to request RSS feeds of the highest rated or most popular color themes, and incorporating them into web project and web sites.

 

Check out some Kuler API usage in the Showcase. Warning, most do require users to have Adobe AIR installed.
