rad Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Have found the easiest way to reduce files is to resize pictures in powerpoints, its annoying how people assume we have loads of space here, we have firefighted for ages but I can see if we do increase to a TB then all we will end up with is loads of more stuff not needed.
Jamo Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 What is this magic invisible method? I usually just use the "Compress Images" button on the powerpoint and adjust.
AIT Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Have you thought about adding an iscsi box to the storage server. openfiler?
SpuffMonkey Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Delete all the illegal music & videos and all the gigabytes of personal digital photos??
Gerry Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Give everyone quotas - limits to be reviewed every year... then write some tips on regaining space (e.g. compressing images in Powerpoint/Word, image resize/compression, housekeeping etc...) to give to the whiners. Also, create file storage policy e.g. work files only
