Copying DVDs - bah...

...just been asked to make about 30 copies of a DVD. Bit of a chore, though I've avoided splashing out on an automatic copier in the past because it seemed too extravagant. What's the best solution to this kind of request...?

Create ISO and show staff how to use daemon tools or similar to mount them when needed - staff can share disks and never need to worry about it being used or scratched etc.

james' idea will be the quickest, easiest and most cost effective (not to mention eco friendly!) option, but if they absolutely need physical copies (30 copies makes me think maybe they're for a class full of kids?) then just use a PC with 2 drives (obviously one has to be a DVD-RW/writer drive, the other can just be a DVD-ROM/reader drive though) and set whatever software you're using up to do a straight 1:1 copy, most software will allow you to specify the number of copies you want to make then it's just a case of putting in a new disc each time one completes. It'll take a couple of hours but there's very little effort involved once it's started running. Let me know if you want recommendations for freeware DVD copying software

I had this request and decided it was better and more time/money effective to outsource the job to a company on the net who copied and delivered them back to us within a couple of days, just not worth the effort, plus they were printed up and not hand written or on sticky lables etc. Can't remember the name of the company off hand though.

Might be a bit extravagant to get one of the massive ones but one of these cheapo 1-3 ones has been a live saver here for smaller runs...
