Ben-BSH Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Open wordpad, or paint / any similar XP program, and click Help, on the title bar of the help, right click, and then "GO TO URL" bing, internet is available. we use a locked down account for exams, only offering wordpad, to keep students off things like spell check, but realised they could do this instead! just a heads up, im sure this is old news
srochford Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 The other thing to watch for is any program which automatically generates hyperlinks when you type - Word, Excel etc. You can just type a URL and click it and a web browser will open. If you're using a proxy server then the simplest way to block web access is to either turn off the proxy for your exam room or for your group of exam students.
