Open wordpad, or paint / any similar XP program, and click Help, on the title bar of the help, right click, and then "GO TO URL" bing, internet is available.

we use a locked down account for exams, only offering wordpad, to keep students off things like spell check, but realised they could do this instead!

just a heads up, im sure this is old news :hat:

The other thing to watch for is any program which automatically generates hyperlinks when you type - Word, Excel etc. You can just type a URL and click it and a web browser will open.

If you're using a proxy server then the simplest way to block web access is to either turn off the proxy for your exam room or for your group of exam students.
